ResponsibilitiesThe Gas Station Attendant is responsible for pumping gas for customers and filling propane tanks upon request. The employee keeps gas pumps and surrounding area clean, picks up garbage and cleans spills, handles cash, makes change, and balances a till. Working efficiently during busy and slow times, the employee must recognize tasks that need attention and complete them independently.
Qualifications & Experience- A minimum of three months of related vehicle fueling experience is preferred.
- At least six months of cash handling experience is required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work under pressure and fuel multiple vehicles simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without constant direction.
- Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
This position functions primarily outside at our gas station pumps. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, cold and hot weather, and may need to stand for prolonged periods. The employee operates a cash register, communicates verbally and in writing, and must be able to communicate with a two-way radio.
Salary and BenefitsSalary range: $16.30 to $16.95 hourly.
$15.95 - $16.95 per hour depending on experience.
