CompensationBase salary plus commission component tied to this role at market value.
Position OverviewInsight Public Sector (IPS) provides training and schedules inside sales account executives to design and sell customized, cost‑effective solutions for government customers nationwide. The role involves building and managing a book of business selling software, hardware, and professional services across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize proven sales methods to prospect and identify new clients.
- Build a book of business through outbound phone sales and cold calls.
- Communicate IPS value proposition to key decision makers within client organizations.
- Develop, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with OEM partners and distributors including HP, Cisco, Dell, VMWare, Lenovo, Google, Red Hat, and Microsoft.
- Manage time effectively to achieve daily sales goals and metrics.
- Plan daily and weekly activities to meet sales objectives.
- Prepare quotes and bids as necessary.
- Demonstrate ambition and commitment to continuous growth, upskilling, and career advancement.
- Minimum of one year of experience selling technical products with a proven track record in prospecting, qualifying, and closing accounts via phone.
- Strong preference for experience selling at least one of the following product lines: HP, Cisco, Dell, VMWare, Lenovo, Google, Red Hat, Microsoft.
- High energy, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, ambitious, goal‑oriented, and success‑driven.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Effective, persuasive communication style.
- Ability to generate opportunities and produce measurable results.
- Passion for building relationships and solving problems.
- Freedom to work from another location—including an international destination—for up to 30 consecutive calendar days per year.
