Position: Regional Technical Specialist (Filtration Focus)

The Regional Technical Specialist is responsible for leading overall revenue and growth in specific business areas by branch or segment, enhancing profitability. The role collaborates with stakeholders to understand market trends, competition, and develop new market growth strategies for specialty sector projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in mechanical, civil engineering, environmental science, or hydrology)
  • 3 to 5 years of industrial sales experience
  • 5 or more years of project management experience
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and negotiating skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achieve annual sales targets within the region.
  • Establish and maintain strong, professional customer relationships; manage major projects.
  • Evaluate and recommend filtration applications to suit customer needs.
  • Create successful sales and marketing approaches tailored to each branch within the region.
  • Work with Inside Sales Support to generate sales reports, proposals, and quotations.
  • Perform evenings, weekends on‑call duties and frequent travel within the region.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, trade shows, professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
  • Make professional presentations, negotiate deals, and obtain signed contracts for filtration projects.
  • Manage both short‑ and long‑term projects.
  • Collaborate with RVPs, RSMs, Branch Managers, and the sales team throughout the sales process of any filtration project, including ride‑alongs, job walks, and related tasks.
  • Achieve assigned sales quota, revenue, and gross margin objectives.
  • Increase market share within end‑user customers in the assigned territory.
  • Actively target, develop, maintain, and close sales opportunities, documenting all sales activity through a customer relationship management system.
  • Act in accordance with Rain for Rent’s Safety culture.
Travel

This position requires significant overnight travel (up to 50%) by land and/or air.

Salary Estimate
