Unarmed Night Watchman

The Night Watchman is a position responsible for conducting routine patrols to secure the premises, buildings, plants and property of the company. This position monitors entrances/exits and ensures only authorized vehicles and personnel are present. This position documents and notifies management of any property damage, theft, or presence of any unauthorized vehicles/personnel. This position is not an armed position nor is it authorized in any way to have firearms while on duty.

Wage Range: $22.01

• Conducts routine patrols of buildings and property and grounds, checking doors and windows for security.
• Perform routine monitoring of entrances/exits and ensuring only authorized vehicles and personnel are present.
• Documents any occurrences and notifies management of any property damage, theft, or presence of unauthorized vehicles/personnel.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and possess good positive interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA regulations while in regulated areas.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

• Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to navigate stairs
• Ability to have good night vision
• Must be able to drive a vehicle in and around machinery and at night safely

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Previous experience as security or night watchman preferred, but not required—entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Must have and maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license with no restrictions driving at night.
• Ability to work in an outdoor/indoor environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
