Job Description – Overview

The Loss Prevention Department for Hobby Lobby is currently seeking a full‑time In‑Store Loss Prevention Officer to help protect our stores. Must have previous loss prevention, security, law enforcement, or military experience.

As a Loss Prevention Officer, your primary focus is to provide protection to customers, employees, and property by patrolling and maintaining a visible presence to deter potential threats and suspicious activity, responding to security incidents, upholding company policies and procedures, and greeting customers.

Schedule:

Tuesday through Saturday 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Starting hourly wage: $26.00–$27.00 an hour.

• Greet customers
• Always remain professional
• Build relationships with store management, personnel, customers, and local law enforcement
• Handle stressful, unpredictable, and potentially dangerous situations with rational judgment
• Manage conflict and safety issues
• Patrol inside perimeter periodically
• Work independently

• At least two years of previous experience in loss prevention, security, law enforcement, or military
• Motor vehicle record check
• Independent local travel
• Background check
• Ability to spend up to 100 % of working hours standing/walking
• Strong communication skills
• Conflict resolution and de‑escalation skills
• Ability to identify suspicious behavior
