In EOSOL We are seeking a WTG & MV Inspector to serve as the Owner’s Representative on site for a utility-scale wind project.

The inspector will monitor subcontractor activities related to Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems, ensuring work is performed according to project specifications, quality standards, and OEM requirements.

This position focuses on inspection, observation, documentation, and reporting. It does not include supervision of construction crews.

Key Responsibilities Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Scope
  • Inspect tower section installation and torque verification.
  • Observe nacelle installation and drivetrain alignment.
  • Monitor hub and blade installation activities.
  • Conduct mechanical completion inspections.
  • Verify bolt tensioning and QA documentation.
  • Inspect internal tower electrical installation and cable routing.
  • Perform pre-commissioning walkdowns and punch list development.
Medium Voltage (MV) Electrical Scope
  • Inspect underground MV collection system installation.
  • Observe cable pulling, splicing, and terminations.
  • Verify pad-mounted transformer installations.
  • Inspect switch gear and recloser installations.
  • Verify grounding and bonding systems.
  • Monitor fiber optic installation associated with collection systems.
  • Verify MV testing (megger, hipot, VLF, relay testing).
General Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections to ensure work complies with project drawings, specifications, and OEM requirements.
  • Document construction progress through field notes, photographs, and inspection records.
  • Prepare and submit daily field reports and inspection logs.
  • Track subcontractor progress against project schedules.
  • Identify and report non-conforming work or installation deficiencies.
  • Verify that testing and commissioning activities are completed and documented.
  • Use project management software (e.g., Procore) to track inspections, RFIs, and quality observations.
  • Participate in walkdowns, energization readiness reviews, and turnover documentation.
  • Coordinate daily with the Construction Manager and Electrical Manager.
