Landscape Technician Trainee

Job Overview

Landscape East & West is a full‑service, award‑winning, eco‑friendly, customer‑focused landscape contractor. We are looking to add a key member to our Maintenance Department in the role of Irrigation Technician Trainee. This entry‑level role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn the technical skills required to become an Irrigation Technician and work alongside senior technicians.

• Assist senior irrigation technicians with system startups, repairs, and maintenance of commercial and residential properties.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, broken lines, faulty valves, and damaged sprinkler heads.
• Assist with controller programming and adjustments for optimal water efficiency.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

• Some experience in landscaping maintenance.
• Tech savvy and willing to learn new systems.
• Possess a valid driver’s license that is insurable through the company policy.
• High school diploma or GED to obtain backflow certification.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• able to walk through maintenance accounts, through all types of terrain.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel & dig and work in all types of weather conditions.
• able to drive company‑assigned vehicle.
