Lead Electrician

Job DescriptionThe Lead Electrician oversees and supports lower‑level electricians, signs off on completed jobs, secures required permits, plans projects, solves technical challenges, and contributes to material selection and team development.
Responsibilities- Make informed decisions on the job site, troubleshoot independently, and self‑manage tasks using written or oral instructions.
- Lead and support the crew by modeling professional conduct, estimating project scope, planning, assigning and reviewing the work of lower‑level employees.
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment that is overhead on poles up to 110 feet, or underground.
- Participate in team development and train apprentice electricians.
- Work outdoors year‑round in all weather conditions, often in close proximity to heavy highway traffic.
- Perform work on high‑elevation structures such as bridges, light towers and buildings.
- Be available to work any time, 24/7, including holidays and respond to emergencies.
- Be capable of lifting up to 70 pounds, bending, stooping and sitting in a vehicle for long periods.
- Have the ability to distinguish colors.
- General supervising electrical license with a copy attached to the application.
- Maximum 45‑minute response time to 9200 SELawnfield Rd, Clackamas 97015 for emergency call‑outs.
- Commercial driver’s license class B (CDL‑B) with no air brake restrictions, no 5th wheel restrictions and no manual transmission restrictions; or ability to acquire a class B within 60 days of hire.
- Valid driver license and acceptable driving record; pre‑employment driving record checks will be conducted.
- Experience working different work schedules based on business needs.
- Experience working on traffic signals, highway illumination, motors, motor controls, generators or conduits.
- Experience with conflict management, oversight responsibilities and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with workplace safety and employee safety.
