Telecom Field Technician Nationwide Travel Full-Time | Contract (Long-Term Program) Hourly Pay + $180/Day Per Diem
About the RoleWe’re hiring Telecom Field Technicians to support a large-scale network upgrade program for a major national carrier. This role involves working inside Central Offices (COs) performing line migrations and telecom framework. No advanced telecom experience required — we are hiring reliable, hands‑on individuals who can travel and follow instructions.
What You’ll Do- Work inside telecom facilities (Central Offices)
- Perform line migrations on telecom frames (MDF/COSMIC)
- Move and connect circuits based on work instructions
- Follow daily task assignments from project leads
- Work in team environments on active network sites
- Complete basic documentation and reporting
Must-Have:
- Willingness to travel for extended periods (4-6+ weeks at a time)
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Comfortable with hands‑on, physical work
- Experience (Flexible):
Telecom, cable, fiber, IT, or low‑voltage experience OR Any hands‑on field work (construction, installation, electrical, etc.)
Preferred (Not Required):
- Central Office (CO) experience
- Experience with cabling, telecom frames, or network equipment
- Background with providers like AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, etc.
Travel required across multiple states.
Typical schedule:
40 hours/week (often 4x10s). Per Diem: ~$180/day (meals + hotel). Flights, lodging, and logistics coordinated.
Paid training provided (2-3 weeks). Opportunity to move into more advanced telecom roles. Long-term project pipeline (multi-year program).
Important NotesMust complete onboarding and required training. Must follow daily reporting and client procedures. This role requires commitment to travel and schedule.
