Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Aviation Electrical / Avionics Technician to join our top-tier maintenance team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical and avionics systems in aircraft, ensuring safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with avionics systems, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to aviation safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on avionics equipment such as navigation, communication, radar, and autopilot systems.
  • Inspect and test electrical systems, instruments, and controls to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve malfunctions and technical issues with aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
  • Electrical System Repairs & Inspections:
    • Maintain and repair electrical wiring and power systems to ensure the safe and effective operation of aircraft.
    • Conduct routine and non‑routine inspections of electrical systems and components, identifying potential issues and providing proactive solutions.
  • System Upgrades & Modifications:
    • Assist with the installation of new avionics or electrical systems, ensuring compatibility with aircraft specifications.
    • Upgrade and modify existing avionics or electrical systems in compliance with FAA guidelines.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including inspections, repairs, parts used, and system modifications, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, other technicians, and maintenance personnel to ensure timely and efficient resolution of technical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Required Knowledge &

Skills:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge and experience with avionics systems, electrical systems, and aircraft wiring.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
    • Ability to perform troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures using advanced testing equipment.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with FAA regulations and aviation safety standards (e.g., FAR 145, FAR 43).
    • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs and logbook procedures.
  • Problem‑Solving & Attention to Detail:
    • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex avionics and electrical issues.
    • Strong attention to detail and precision when conducting repairs, inspections, and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear technical explanations to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A'P) certification, or equivalent military/industry experience.
    • Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience as an Avionics or Electrical Technician in the aviation industry.
    • Additional certifications (e.g., FCC, IA, EASA) or specialized avionics training are a plus
