Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) is seeking a School Psychologist to work with schools in the Rogue Valley and Josephine County. The position is full/part-time with a 190‑day academic year contract and offers a full benefits package for half‑time or above employment.
POSITION GOALProvide assistance to assigned schools with psychological evaluations, instructional and behavioral consultation, crisis intervention, and staff development activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Provide psychological assessments and written reports.
- Provide consultation to teachers regarding instructional, behavioral, and social interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention and short‑term counseling.
- Provide staff development in‑services concerning assessment, instruction, and intervention strategies.
- Assist schools in multidisciplinary, IEP, placement, intervention, and other educational decisions.
- Communicate clearly and appropriately and make independent decisions within established policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain positive, flexible, and cooperative relationships with ESD and local district staff.
- Prepare accountability records regarding services provided.
- Participate in professional growth activities.
- Comply with local district and ESD rules and policies.
- Perform physical requirements unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.
- Perform job‑related tasks as designated by the supervisor.
- Oregon Personnel Services license with School Psychologist endorsement.
- Master's degree in school/educational psychology from an accredited college or university.
In person, at assigned school(s) in Jackson and Josephine Counties.
POSITION LENGTH1.0 FTE / 190 days (academic year)
SALARYPer Collective Bargaining Agreement: $60,987.34 to $ annually for the school year.
