Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs and climb ladders. Requires the ability and/or willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and in remote locations on a 3‐weeks on, 3‑weeks off basis.

Mechanics must be self‑sufficient when conducting remote operations and must possess mission support capabilities, basic computer skills, and record‑keeping skills. The mechanic must become knowledgeable of the contents of the:
Winco Operations Manual, Winco Environmental Health and Safety Manual, FAR, FAA Regulations, OSHA Standards, Rotorcraft Flight Manual, Manufacturer’s Maintenance Manuals and Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and other information necessary to perform his duties.
Winco offers helicopter‑assisted services for traditional electric maintenance and construction. Projects with limited access because of terrain or environmental concerns, as well as those on aggressive schedules, have benefited from Winco’s aerial capabilities. This position will be for a Field Mechanic on MD369 D and FF helicopters.
Responsibilities- The overall proper maintenance of the aircraft.
- Maintaining correct and legible log pages/book and making component permanent record card entries, signing off all work with an authorized signature.
- Completing inspections when due, utilizing the appropriate checklist.
- Changing time‑life/overhaul life items when due. Tagging them with the date of removal and accurate times and cycles accumulated.
- Correcting discrepancies reported by the pilot.
- Completing reports in a concise, legible, and timely manner.
- Conducting a daily aircraft inspection, preflight and postflight.
- Cleaning or assisting the cleaning of the helicopter each day, including wiping clean all excess grease and sweeping out the cabin.
- Cleaning and polishing the windshield each day prior to the first flight.
- Protecting the aircraft on the ground.
- Assisting the pilot in securing the landing area by keeping unauthorized persons away.
- Testing the fuel each day and fueling the aircraft as directed.
- Operating motor vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
- Performing additional duties as required.
Schedule:
3 weeks on, 3 weeks off, paid minimum of 40 hrs per week, even off shift, with an additional 20 hrs overtime per week guaranteed while on shift. Insurance/Benefit summary can be provided upon contact. Shadowed Toolboxes provided. No need to travel with your own tools. At Winco we almost always hangar aircraft every night for protection and to assist in Maintenance.
