Wallowa County Grain Growers is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Propane Service Technician / Delivery Driver to support our growing Energy Department.
This position plays a critical dual role—performing propane service work and safety inspections while also assisting with propane delivery during peak demand periods.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of technical work, customer interaction, and driving.

Job Description:
Service Technician / Delivery Driver - Enterprise Oregon
Key Responsibilities Service & Compliance- Perform propane system installations, inspections, and maintenance
- Conduct leak checks, pressure tests, and system start-ups
- Ensure all installations meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 54 & 58) requirements
- Troubleshoot and repair propane appliances and systems
- Complete required documentation for service work and compliance
- Maintain accurate records of tank inspections, regulator changes, and safety checks
- Operate a propane bobtail truck to deliver propane to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers
- Fill customer tanks safely and efficiently
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow all U.S. Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). hazmat regulations
- Assist with bulk plant operations and general yard duties as needed
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Educate customers on safe propane usage and system operation
- Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license (CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsement preferred or ability to obtain)
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons (winter/heating season)
- Prior propane, HVAC, or fuel delivery experience preferred
- CETP (Certified Employee Training Program) certifications
- Experience with propane system installations and service work
