Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in manufacturing construction chemicals and building materials — including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor, Admixtures to join our manufacturing team as we open a new location in Portland, OR
. This role will play a key part in establishing warehouse operations, with an initial focus on shipping, receiving, and material flow. In addition to supervising daily warehouse activities, the Warehouse Supervisor will provide hands‑on support with light production and material handling during the startup phase, while helping lay the foundation for future team growth. This is an opportunity for a working supervisor who is comfortable balancing coordination, execution, and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, with an initial emphasis on inbound and outbound shipments, inventory flow, and order fulfillment.
  • Provide hands‑on support with shipping, receiving, material movement, and light production activities as operational needs require.
  • Use tools such as digital/manual scales, pumps, hand scoops, and containers to support accurate material handling and production support.
  • Transfer raw materials and finished products between receiving, storage, production, and outbound areas.
  • Prepare packaging, label containers, and palletize products to meet shipping and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate written and electronic records related to inventory, shipments, and production support activities.
  • Review bills of lading, shipping notices, orders, and related documentation to prioritize workflow and meet delivery commitments.
  • Plan and optimize storage layouts, trailer loading, routing, and weight distribution.
  • Inspect loading processes and equipment; coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Verify driver permits and required documentation for outbound loads.
  • Maintain records of shipments, inventory variances, unfilled orders, weights, freight charges, and dock appointments.
  • Support the development and standardization of warehouse procedures as operations scale.
  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management as the warehouse team grows.
  • Address service‑related issues and support corrective actions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
  • Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum:
    High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience, including lift‑truck operation.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong computer proficiency and comfort with warehouse systems.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work assigned shift schedule (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift).
