Office Technician Contract

180 day contract. 8 hours per day. Hourly rate: $16.51–$18.55 depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Administers first aid and prescription medications to students under the direction of a health care professional.
  • Assists in developing master schedules to ensure student course and class size requirements are accurate.
  • Attends department and/or in‑service meetings to convey and gather information necessary to perform functions.
  • Collects payments for events such as fines, fees, and fundraisers to complete transactions and secure funds.
  • Compiles data (e.g., student plans, calendars, work orders, budget reports, specialized reports, student records) for preparing reports, processing requests, and making recommendations.
  • Coordinates assigned projects and activities such as distributing materials, arranging conferences, meetings, travel, and supervising exit assessments.
  • Maintains manual and electronic document files and records (e.g., site processes, transcripts, purchase orders, advisory lists, work orders, timesheets, expense reimbursement requests) in accordance with administrative guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and materials (e.g., forms, office supplies) to ensure availability.
  • Monitors student behaviors in hallways and auditorium to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, and other materials (e.g., recognition awards, report cards, class schedules, letters, memorandums, minutes, charts, periodic and ad‑hoc reports).
  • Processes documents and materials (e.g., schedule/class changes, student registrations, timesheets, work orders, travel reimbursements) to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Researches assigned topics such as student record discrepancies, current practices, policies, and education codes to provide information for department operations.
  • Responds to inquiries from parents, district staff, other schools, government agencies, general public, and students to facilitate communication and provide direction.
  • Reviews release of students to authorized parent or guardian to ensure safety upon release from activities.
  • Schedules activities for counselors and administrators, meetings, travel reservations/accommodations, and facility usage.
  • Verifies student-related data (e.g., grades, coursework) to ensure the accuracy of student records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Requirements
  • Job‑related experience is desired.
  • Age 16 or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
