Whatyou'll be doing
The Application Administrator II for the Registrar's Office administers, troubleshoots, and maintains Registrar's Office software applications in close coordination with IT/Dx resources and technical teams. They are responsible for the functional configuration and testing of Registrar's Office application software, keeping accurate documentation for the benefit of registrar staff and using pre-built queries, they provide reports and data to various stakeholders, within the data governance model, and manage the data reporting requirements of the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) and the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
The Application Administrator II helps develop a Registrar's Office technology strategy and identify opportunities for system improvements, modernization, and consolidation.
The Application Administrator II for the Registrar's Office reports to the University Registrar and may represent the Registrar's Office on University committees, task forces, and in other meetings and assignments. They foster innovation and strive for efficiency and continuous process improvement. They manage a variety of projects in collaboration with the Registrar's Office leadership team.
Additional responsibilities include cross‑training in all areas of the Registrar's Office and assisting team members with a variety of tasks and projects as assigned.
Optional hybrid schedule of one remote workday depending on departmental needs.
Summary of Responsibilities- Systems Configuration:
Provides functional configuration support for systems used in the Registrar's Office, including Ellucian Banner, and collaborates with UVU IT/Digital Transformation (Dx) on system upgrades and functional testing. Supports the implementation of new technology solutions and may deliver training to end users. Performs basic troubleshooting of software and systems, escalating complex issues to UVU Dx or vendors as appropriate. Monitors system outages and effectively communicates relevant updates to Registrar staff. - Software Knowledge and Enhancement:
Responsible for acquiring and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Registrar software and related technologies through the review of product documentation, release notes, roadmaps, updates, user manuals, and communication with vendors. Contributes to the documentation of procedures and decisions pertaining to software functionality and system maintenance or configuration. Supports Registrar staff in identifying development requirements and priorities and effectively communicating those needs to UVU IT/Dx. - Accountability, Collaboration, and Communication:
Acts as the primary liaison between the Registrar's Office and UVU IT/Dx, as well as external vendors, regarding systems and technical concerns. Assists with coordinating Registrar's Office projects and tracks tickets submitted to UVU Dx. Provides support in analyzing data to facilitate informed decision‑making within the Registrar's Office. Maintains accountability to the Registrar's Office leadership team and delivers regular progress reports on projects, tasks, and assignments. - Reports and Compliance:
Provides reports and data to the Registrar's Office and other UVU personnel upon request and as appropriate, primarily utilizing established reports and datasets. May also develop and configure custom reports within platforms such as Power BI. Oversees National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) reporting and compliance, including enrollment reporting, error resolution, assignment of CIP codes, and related responsibilities. - Systems Strategy:
In coordination with the Registrar's Office leadership team, helps develop and maintain a long‑term Registrar's Office technology strategy. Helps identify opportunities for system improvements, modernization, and consolidation. - Performs other duties as assigned including cross training and assisting team members.
