Student - Research Assistant NSF Utah Lake Cadet

Utah Valley University is seeking a student to provide research and administrative support to the department as a Student Research Assistant. The position is available through approximately July 31, 2026.

Students will assist Dr. Cadet with Utah Lake research. Laboratory experience is essential, along with proficiency in preparing, running, and analyzing samples for metal content. The hourly wage ranges from $15 to $18.

• Gathering, compiling, cleaning, and/or entering data.
• Assisting with transcription and/or coding of qualitative data.
• Assisting in programming, coordinating, and conducting survey research, focus groups, and other data collection efforts.
• Cleaning and analyzing data.
• Assisting in producing, cleaning, and analyzing data files.
• And producing summaries of data from data sets.
• Assists with the department’s social media posts and digital signs.

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good telephone, email, and customer service skills.

• Organizational skills.
• Computer skills (Internet, Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Good work ethic/self‑motivated.
