We are looking for credentialed Field Inspectors who take quality personally. You will conduct independent residential construction inspections across active job sites — identifying and documenting discrepancies through the VQA proprietary inspection application, verifying code compliance, and delivering clear, defensible reports that every stakeholder can act on.

This is a field-first role. You will be on job sites — not behind a desk — representing VQA's standard of independence and professionalism with every inspection. Both W2 and 1099 engagements are available depending on your situation.

• Conduct phase, progress, and final inspections on custom, single-family, and multi-family residential builds
• Identify and document discrepancies in real time using the VQA proprietary inspection application
• Verify compliance with applicable building codes, plans, and specifications across municipal and private projects
• Communicate professionally with builders, contractors, and project stakeholders on findings and next steps
• Maintain inspection records in compliance with Utah DOPL and ICC standards

• Utah DOPL building inspection license (required) or ICC B2 certification (strongly preferred)
• Hands-on residential construction experience — custom homes, single-family, or multi-family
• Comfort with mobile technology — you will document findings in the field through our app
• Strong written and verbal communication — reports must stand on their own
• Self-directed and detail-oriented — capable of managing your own schedule in the field
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
