Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Student - Tye Noorda Theatre Camp Assistant Teacher/ Staff
Join a team that believes theatre can change a child's life.

As a Tye Noorda Theatre Camp Assistant Teacher, you won't just help run a summer camp-you'll help young artists find their voices, build confidence, and discover the joy of storytelling. You'll work alongside passionate teaching artists in a creative, supportive environment where play, imagination, and mentorship are at the heart of everything we do.

This position is perfect for theatre students, emerging educators, and artists who love working with kids and want hands-on experience in arts education. You'll gain practical classroom and rehearsal skills, learn age-appropriate teaching strategies, and be part of a nationally respected Theatre for Youth program housed at Utah Valley University's Noorda Center for the Performing Arts.

Every day is different: leading warm-ups, helping campers rehearse, sparking creativity through games and activities, and celebrating the moment a child realizes they can do something they never thought possible. If you're energized by creativity, collaboration, and making a real impact, this is more than a summer job-it's a chance to be part of something meaningful.

Some responsibilities include:

* Be a teacher or assistant teacher and/or play director in the areas of theatre, music, movement or art

* Photograph teachers and students engaged in coursework - must follow media release standards

* Create lesson plans and work with other teachers and TYE Center staff

* Work with children ranging from 5- years-old to 17-years-old

* Lesson plans must be submitted before the first day of summer camp

* Must attend a mandatory meeting and lesson planning session

OPEN TO ALL MAJORS.
