Successful applicants will be expected to obtain International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Certification within one year of hire if they are not already ISTE Certified, as part of our School of Education's commitment to innovation and excellence in digital teaching and learning. The position will begin on August 1st, 2026.

The School of Education currently offers undergraduate degrees in teacher education and graduate degrees in educational leadership, school counseling, applied behavior analysis, and graduate certificates and endorsements, as well as several other programs. The application must include a cover letter, CV, graduate transcript(s), and statement of teaching philosophy.
* Teaches 24 credit hours for both Fall and Spring semesters.
* Demonstrate flexibility in modalities and schedules that accommodate students' schedules.
* Maintains and submits accurate, up-to-date reports and records related to student accountability, attendance, performance, and follow-up.
* Establishes and maintains office hours. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
* Maintains currency in fields of expertise/research/pedagogy.
* Assists department chair, faculty, and staff in maintaining an effective program, including advisement and recruitment of students, curriculum development, program changes, etc.
* Serves on committees and attends meetings as assigned.
* Conducts self in a professional manner.
* Graduation from an accredited institution with a doctoral degree in education or in a closely-related field (or ABD with dissertation defense scheduled; degree must be in hand by position start date)
* At least two years of relevant K-12 learner-centered teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
* At least two years of college/university teaching experience.
* Earned relevant professional license or credentials.
* Evidence of scholarly pursuits and potential.
* International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Certification.
* K-12 leadership experience.
* Experience teaching online courses in synchronous and/or asynchronous delivery modalities.
Knowledge
* Content required to teach relevant courses.
* Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.
* Current research in instructional theory, methods, strategies, assessments, technology, innovations, and techniques in preservice teacher education, including clinical programming and teacher performance assessment.
Skills
* Work collaboratively and effectively with students and community partners.
* Demonstrate excellence in teamwork by contributing to a high-performing, collaborative culture across the department, School of Education, and the university in support of student and program achievement.
* Human relations skills, including working with all individuals, including multilingual students.
* Manage a productive teaching/learning environment.
* Support preservice teachers in performance assessments.
* Provide timely and effective feedback.
* Demonstrated research skills.
