Job SummaryProvide classroom and lab instruction in all aspects of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration program while working with students in an open-entry competency-based classroom and lab environment.
Employment Conditions- Adjunct positions are offered on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of continued employment.
- Official transcripts are required within 30 days of hire.
- All faculty will maintain an on-site campus presence unless approved for online-only courses.
- Employment is contract-to-contract with no future expectation of continued employment and may be terminated At Will at any time.

- Provide practical application instructional support in a variety of settings (commercial and/or residential) to lead to required industry certifications.
- Support industry certifications such as EPA, Rocky Mountain Gas Association, and others as required.
- Accommodate various learning styles, especially hands‑on training not limited to the classroom.
- Advise students on program requirements and progress through the course objectives.
- Collaborate with department faculty to coordinate quality classroom activities.
- Work in a team environment and support a variety of instructional delivery formats in the HVAC lab.
- Provide industry standard instructional support for industry certification.
- Support student learning activities.
- Maintain the quality of the programs and ensure students follow learning plans.
- Follow all established SLCC, Salt Lake Technical College, and Department policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and abilities to maintain good working relationships across the College.
- Work with groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic background of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
RMGA Certification, EPA-608, EPA-410A, EPA-609.
Preferred QualificationsEmployment Ready Certification.
