Overview
Support programs that strengthen healthy homes and thriving communities. The Extension Home and Community Department focuses on areas such as nutrition, financial well‑being, mental health, and family relationships. As part of USU's land‑grant mission, this internship offers hands‑on experience assisting with research‑based education and outreach designed to improve quality of life. Interns will help deliver programs, develop educational materials, and connect with community members in meaningful ways.
Our team fosters a welcoming, supportive environment where collaboration, empathy, and growth are encouraged. Interns have opportunities to work both independently and as part of a team, with some flexibility in scheduling depending on program needs. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in Extension, community education, public health, or family and consumer sciences careers.
This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah, with in person responsibilities in Cache County, UT.
ResponsibilitiesDepartment Coordination
- Provide director and program coordinator support
- Manage calendars and scheduling for the director
Faculty Support and Communication
- Support Home & Community Department Faculty
- Develop and share program resources
- Be an undergraduate student
- Have an interest in the Extension program
- Be dependable
- Interest in Family & Consumer Sciences areas
$15.00 an hour
ADAEmployees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
