Looking for math tutors to provide academic support to students in a variety of math subjects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a passion for helping students succeed. Training will be provided.
ResponsibilitiesProvide academic tutoring and support to students across a range of mathematics disciplines.
Required QualificationsCompleted Calculus I with a B+ or better, or an equivalent course.
Preferred Qualifications- Must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 in mathematics subjects
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, reliability, and a passion for tutoring
- Extending hand(s) and arm(s) and standing for sustained periods.
- Moving about, especially for long distances or moving between work sites.
- Lifting objects up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Operating, activating, using, preparing, inspecting, placing, detecting, or positioning objects.
- Grasping objects and applying pressure with fingers and palm.
- Expressing or exchanging ideas with accuracy and speed.
- Receiving detailed information with or without assistance.
- Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers.
Visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work, as well as to make general observations of facilities or structures.
Conditions of EmploymentNone. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions typical of office or administrative work.
