Tutor WSU students in Chemistry at the Ogden Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is done on an individual appointment and/or drop‑in basis. Availability for appointments is determined by the tutor. We require and provide training in tutoring techniques.

This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

• Must be a WSU student.
• Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor.
• A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring.
• Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

• Ability to tutor many different courses.

Expressing or exchanging ideas. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important instructions to other workers accurately or quickly. Ability to receive detailed information with or without assistance. Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or consistently to move objects, including the human body. Sitting most of the time. Walking and standing only occasionally if ever.

Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.

None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
