Summary of Responsibilities

* Teach a variety of Developmental Mathematics or Quantitative Reasoning courses.

* Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study with measurable objectives for each course taught.

* Prepares instructional materials, including course syllabi, exams, and instructional materials as necessary.

* Evaluates student learning utilizing accepted assessment strategies.

* Engages classes in a student-oriented approach to instruction.

* Maintains and submits records of student accountability and performance.

* Provides an open, student-centered, welcoming, and respectful classroom environment.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Graduated from an accredited university with a minimum of a B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field. Must have 18 credit hours of graduate-level mathematics/statistics to teach MAT 1000 or above.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
