Position Overview
Queens College of Theology (QCT) is seeking a motivated and personable volunteer to serve as an Admissions Officer. This individual will be responsible for engaging prospective students, following up on leads, answering program-related questions, and guiding applicants through the admissions process from initial inquiry to completed application. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, is organized, and is passionate about helping students pursue theological education.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Management & Follow-Up
- Receive and track prospective student inquiries (leads)
- Proactively follow up with inquiries via email, phone, or virtual meetings
- Maintain consistent communication with prospects until they apply or opt out
- Clearly explain QCT programs, degree options, and admissions requirements
- Answer questions about curriculum, expectations, timelines, and next steps
- Help prospective students determine which program best fits their goals
- Guide students step-by-step through the application process
- Ensure applicants submit all required documentation
Monitor application progress and provide reminders as needed - Serve as the primary point of contact until the application is complete
- Provide professional, timely, and supportive communication
- Represent QCT’s mission, values, and academic standards with excellence
- Encourage prospective students as they discern their educational calling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable speaking with prospective students via phone and email
- Organized and able to manage multiple leads simultaneously
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheets, email systems, and CRM tools (like Hubspot)
- Experience in admissions, recruiting, sales, ministry, or customer service is helpful
- Alignment with the mission and values of Queens College of Theology
