Position Summary The JA City School Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the successful implementation and growth of Junior Achievement programs, including JA Biz Town and JA Finance Park. This position works closely with schools and teachers, to coordinate simulation days, maintain school relationships, and ensure an exceptional experience for students and educators. The School Coordinator also assists with curriculum and simulation updates, school recruitment efforts, camps, and other organizational initiatives as needed.
This is a full‑time position scheduled for 5 days per week. The typical workday runs from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Summer hours may be lighter.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for participating teachers and schools.
- Maintain and update databases and tracking spreadsheets to ensure accurate program records.
- Lead teacher and volunteer trainings and provide on‑site support during JA City simulation days.
- Develop and enhance training materials and resources for teachers and volunteers.
- Recruit new schools to participate in JA Biz Town and JA Finance Park programs.
- Assist with camps and special programs throughout the year.
- Support updates and improvements to curriculum and simulation activities.
- Assist with operational projects and provide general support as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to large groups and leading trainings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with educators, schools, volunteers, or youth programs preferred.
- Passion for Junior Achievement's mission and helping young people succeed.
Physical requirements:
Ability to stand or walk for at least 5 hours during simulation days. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
The School Coordinator will work at Woodbury Junior Achievement City in Orem.
Occasional travel to schools and community locations may be required.
Schedule flexibility may be needed to accommodate program and school schedules.
