Intro to Film Assistant

In this role, you will work closely with faculty to assist in a high-enrollment class, helping facilitate course activities, support students in understanding film concepts, and ensure a smooth and well-organized classroom experience.

You will play an active role in enhancing student engagement, assisting with course delivery, and adapting to evolving course needs each semester. • Under instructor direction, evaluate and grade student assignments, accurately recording grades in Canvas.
• Provide support to students by clarifying course material and assisting with coursework as needed.
• Ensure students have timely access to course materials, including files and in‑class assignments, in coordination with instructors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of course and instructional needs.

• Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in a related major or any combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling four years is required.
• Completed THEA 1023 during undergraduate studies or related experience.
• Proficient in using Canvas, including managing THEA 1023 assignments, assessments, and grading processes.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Ability to demonstrate a reliable and consistently strong work ethic.

• Experience working on Canvas.
