Job Summary/Basic Function:
Part‑time adjunct instructor of English. To teach one or two lower division courses per semester as needed. Instructors may be expected to teach any of the following:
- English 0900
- English 1005
- English 1006
- English 1007
- English 1010
- English 2010
- English 2015
Or other English classes as needed.
This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. The pool will expire on February 28th of each year and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications- Must have a MA in English or a closely related field.

Physical Requirements of this positionSedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or consistently to move objects, including the human body. Sitting most of the time. Walking and standing only occasionally if ever.
Visual Acuity RequirementsRequired to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading. Visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision.
ConditionsNone. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as those found in typical office or administrative work.
