Must be skilled and knowledgeable in upper division Math, Science, English, or Business courses. Will work one on one with K-16 students providing academic tutoring and encouragement. Must have a desire to help students be successful in their various academic subjects. Will tutor, track and report progress, and fulfill other duties assigned. Reports to Program Coordinator.
Requirement documentsTutors students one on one. Records notes from tutoring sessions. Communicates with Education Counselor. Other duties as assigned.
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a current UVU student.
- Two or more years of experience tutoring or studying the subject.
- Must pass background check.
- Advanced knowledge in math, science, business, or English.
- Advanced knowledge in other areas such as languages, social sciences, etc. will be considered.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Skills maintaining accurate records for official files.
- Ability to relate to different academic levels of students.
- Ability to follow through with assignments, schedules, and appointments.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
- Ability to work independently with dependability.
