Teacher Assistant

Full Time – Huntington, Huntington, UT, US

Salary: $16.91 to $17.76 hourly

As our Teacher Assistant, you’ll help create a nurturing classroom environment, support individualized learning, and contribute to the daily routines that keep children engaged and progressing. You’ll enjoy our collaborative structure where you’ll support a well‑run classroom while making sure the small details are handled with accuracy.

What

you’ll do as the Teacher Assistant:
  • Support teaching staff in implementing curriculum and daily lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Actively supervise and engage children to ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
  • Assist with behavior management, assessments, and documentation to support individualized learning and school readiness.
  • Collaborate with teachers and families to enhance educational outcomes.
  • Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment that supports safety and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or be willing to enroll in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of hire.
  • Ability and willingness to work directly with young children in a hands‑on classroom environment.
  • Ability to support the implementation of developmentally appropriate learning experiences and positive child guidance practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework in early childhood education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework in early childhood education.
  • Previous experience working with preschool‑aged children in a classroom or early childhood setting.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs.

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8‑hour workdays. Position operates on a 39‑week program year schedule with summers off.
