Position OverviewEGS is seeking a REMOTE (work from anywhere within the United States) High Voltage Electrical Drafter/Designer with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience. This role supports Site Power operations and engineering staff by preparing high voltage electrical and wiring drawings for site power systems, including transmission, substation, and distribution elements up to 138 kV.
Required experience includes Electrical design, power transmission and distribution, substations, and drawing design/construction of distribution lines. High voltage drafting experience (4860V and up) is preferred. Responsibilities include routine layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, diagrams, and all views and dimensions necessary for construction. Support tasks involve proposal drawings, red marks, sketches, locating, updating, and developing new drawings to address configuration management needs.
WorkDetails
This position supports the Nevada National Security Site, Mercury NV (approximately 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas), with quarterly travel to the NNSS and additional travel as needed. The work schedule is 4-10s.
