Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and integration, proficiency in Solid Works, and a demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university and offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using Solid Works.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet functional requirements and manufacturability standards.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate designs.
- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve designs.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and process enhancements.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in mechanical design and integration using Solid Works.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to perform engineering analysis (stress analysis, tolerance analysis, etc.).
- Experience with design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA) principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software and PLM systems (e.g., Solid Works PDM).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives or Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus.
