Civil Engineering Drafter

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Drafter to support private and public sector land development projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and extensive proficiency in AutoCAD (with Civil 3D). The Drafter will assist the Senior Project Manager/Junior Project Manager with site plan preparation and the assembly of complete drawing sets for land development projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines.

• Assist the Senior Project Manager in advancing land development projects from concept through construction, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead plan preparation in collaboration with drafters; assign tasks, monitor workload, and ensure deliverables meet project standards.
• Coordinate internal teams, perform quality control checks, and ensure accuracy of plans and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
• Assemble comprehensive drawing sets for land development projects, including site plans, grading, drainage, pipeworks, and related Civil 3D/AutoCAD deliverables.

• 1–3 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, with emphasis on land development projects.
• Extensive proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with basic site planning, grading, drainage, and utility layouts is a plus.

• Salary range based on experience ranging from $55,000 to $65,000
