** What you'll do**

• Execute the priorities of the Chief Engineer with focus on the Launch Systems Business Unit, supporting Sentinel Launch Infrastructure activities.
• Ensure the program adheres to sound engineering processes in development, verification, production, and sustainment of products, and complies with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Establish achievable technical baselines balancing performance with cost and schedule, with particular emphasis on Key Performance Parameters and Technical Performance Measures.
• Support Program Management Team meetings, including Technical Review Board, Weapons System Working Group, Configuration Control Board, Program Management Review, Scrumban, and Risk & Opportunity Management Board.
• Collaborate horizontally to resolve disconnects across teams so that design decisions meet system performance objectives.
• Support strategic SDS Sector initiatives on tools, processes, and cross‑program technical reviews.
• Champion long‑term strategic technical objectives within Sentinel and at the SDS division level.
• Participate in strategic technical interchange meetings with Sentinel partners.

Standard work schedule: 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday‑Thursday, every other Friday off).

** Basic Qualifications**

• 14 years of experience with a Bachelor’s in Science or 12 years with a Master’s or 10 years with a PhD.
• U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance reinvestigated within the last six years.
• Formal experience leading engineering teams or organizations.
• Demonstrated performance in addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for engineering development or systems integration projects.
• Advanced knowledge within a single engineering discipline and experience across disciplines.
• Strong understanding and application of complex engineering tools and processes (e.g., engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software).

** Preferred Qualifications**

• Experience managing and delivering Construction (MILCON preferred) projects.
• Experience across the development lifecycle from concept through verification, production, operations, support, and retirement.
• Design Engineering/Computer‑aided Design (CAD) experience.
• ICBM or complex system of systems experience.
• Experience managing customer and/or supplier relationships.
• Prior experience interfacing with USAF leadership personnel.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• Strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations promptly.

** Compensation**:
Primary level salary range $ – $. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and potentially long‑term incentives for senior roles.
