About the Role

As a Clinician, your role is vital in supporting the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) team, ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of client care. You will assist with departmental tasks, communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and effective time management. Collaboration with the team is essential for maintaining treatment fidelity and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Performance Indicators
  • Achieve an average minimum symptom reduction of 65%
  • Successfully pass JCAHO and other state licensing surveys
  • Achieve a customer satisfaction score of 4.5
  • Maintain a 90% or higher client attendance rate
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of documentation completed at the time of service
Core Responsibilities
  • Facilitate sessions, groups, and mentor Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs).
  • Consistently address client motivation and adherence to recommended length of stay.
  • Create individualized intervention strategies to meet clinically indicated length of stay.
  • Report motivation and barriers in treatment team meetings and develop improvement plans.
  • Manage time effectively and maintain boundaries with clients.
  • Provide validation and support to help clients work through distress.
  • Maintain a flexible caseload of 24–36 clients as required.
  • Engage in 75–80% face‑to‑face client interactions, including new starts, family sessions, and group work.
  • Complete comprehensive documentation at the time of service.
  • Communicate clinical rationale verbally to insurance providers.
  • Supervise interns and BHT‑run groups as needed.
  • Set SMART goals each quarter with the Program Director to improve clinical skills.
  • Promote a positive work environment and teamwork.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Core Competencies
  • Conduct exposure‑focused sessions and develop exposure lists.
  • Lead exposure groups and progress sessions.
  • Able to complete behavioral health assessments and treatment plans.
  • Document accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform suicide risk assessments.
  • Effectively manage cases to achieve clinically indicated length of stay.
Education and Experience
  • Master's degree or higher in social work, clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, PhD, PsyD.
  • Current and unrestricted state licensure or intern number.
  • Professional presentation, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, problem‑solving, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility in a changing work environment.
  • Proficient in electronic data entry and computer software.
  • Adequate physical stamina for prolonged sitting, bending, lifting, and walking.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years’ experience in a mental health position.
  • Experience with OCD and anxiety disorders.
  • Experience in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.
