Overview
Clinical Data Managers Develop data management plans that deliver accurate, timely, and consistent clinical data. Build, review, and maintain clinical databases, data collection tools, and applications. Create, review, and maintain study documentation, such as Case Report Forms (CRFs), Data Management Plans (DMP) and Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs). Contribute to protocol development and review. Compile, analyze, clean, and validate clinical trial data.
Identify and resolve discrepancies and issues with clinical data. Develop data management reports and monitor study status to ensure timelines are met. Represent the data management function to key internal and external stakeholders. Work collaboratively with clinical research and operations team to ensure accurate and complete data collection.

This includes potential responsibilities such as data validation, documentation, and collaboration with clinical operations.
Responsibilities- Work with cross-functional teams to implement a strategy to collect primary outcome and other critical data per study protocol
- Issue and resolve queries with high degree of accuracy
- Write, review, and test data validation checks using SQL or similar coding language
- Create and maintain study documentation including Data Management Plans, user acceptance testing, and training manuals
- Prioritize data management activities based on a risk assessment plan
Minimum Qualifications
Equivalency statements and level descriptors include:
- 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire at the following job levels based on business need:
- Clinical Data Manager, I: bachelor's (or equivalent) + 2 years of related experience or a master's (or equivalent)
- Clinical Data Manager, II: bachelor's (or equivalent) + 4 years or master's (or equivalent) + 2 years
- Clinical Data Manager, III: bachelor's (or equivalent) + 6 years or master's (or equivalent) + 4 years
Preferences
- Demonstrated experience with electronic data capture systems such as REDCap, Veeva or similar
- Experience with SQL coding or similar

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, mostly remote with on-campus requirements as needed.
Location:
Campus, Utah. Pay Rate Range and other administrative details will be provided in the posting. This position may require occasional travel.
