Life (F4L) is looking for a responsible, kind, service-oriented Caretaker/Direct Support Professional and/or Certified Nursing Assistant to join our growing company! This posting is for anyone interested in working in one of our residential settings nearby West Jordan, Utah. F4L is dedicated to providing exceptional assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our clients need reliable, friendly people who have a strong desire to serve them.
Our care team helps to ensure our clients live as independently as possible! We are hiring for both full and part-time positions. We will try to accommodate your personal schedule with our industry-leading flexibility. This is typically an entry-level position, although we are always looking for those who have strong experience in the industry. All required training/certifications are paid for by us!
(We do not provide CNA Certifications as they are not required for this position, but your CNA does lend you a higher starting pay!) Below is a short description of how our residential program works:
- Residential (RHS):
Our residential services offer the most flexibility in terms of hours as we provide services for clients in a home setting 24/7. You will work with clients to help them live independently while having the freedom to take them out into the community to do fun activities. Graveyard shifts are available, making it a perfect time to get homework done!- Various shifts between 9 am - 3 pm, 3 pm - 9 pm, and 9 pm - 9 am. We are willing to work around (or even combine) these shifts and discuss alternative scheduling needs on a case-by-case basis.
- Starting pay is $12.50 +
- Flexible scheduling
- Flexible time-off
- Morning, Afternoon, Mid-day, Evening, and Graveyard shifts available
No matter which shift is filled, the ideal job candidate will be highly dependable and have a passion for helping those with physical and/or mental disabilities. Working with each of our clients, you will help foster a positive, encouraging, and stimulating environment, while also fulfilling the following:
- Assisting clients to reach their desired goals
- Engaging clients in fun and fulfilling activities at home and in the community
- Aiding clients with daily needs, including but not limited to, nutrition, hygiene, exercise, communication, socialization, etc
- Supervising clients as they self-administer medication
- Documenting client progress
- Transporting clients in personal vehicles
- Following all health and safety protocols required by Friends4
Life and the state of Utah - Assisting our clients with keeping a tidy home in a clean and safe environment
- Supporting and upholding client legal rights by observing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Becoming properly trained and certified as the job requires
- Applicants must be 16+ years of age at the time of hiring
- Valid driver license or state-issued
- Valid Social Security Card
- Pass a criminal background check
- Ability to move and stand for prolonged periods and frequently perform physically demanding tasks
