Laboratory Technician
Salt Lake City, UT 84123
Entry Level
Pay Rate
: $22.16 per hour W2
Duration
: 5+ months to start; open to extend long term
Schedule
: M-F, 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Perform sampling and testing of products for the presence of pyrogens, heparin activity, and bioburden levels.
- Conduct FT-IR, melt flow, density, specific gravity, pH, and corrosion resistance testing on incoming components.
- Test in-house purified water and water used in manufacturing processes for endotoxin, microbial load, pH, TOC, and conductivity.
- Monitor and test biological indicators used in the release of ethylene oxide sterilization cycles.
- Evaluate new and modified products, or material changes, for sterilization and biocompatibility impact in accordance with ISO 10993 requirements.
- Maintain general laboratory functions, including test supply maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or greater preferred.
- Entry Level: 0–1 years of experience.
- Laboratory skills are a plus.
