Weekend NOC Caregiver – MBK Senior Living

Part‑Time;
Saturdays and Sundays 10:15pm – 6:30am.

Pay Rate

$14.50 – $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

The caregiver assists residents with daily living activities, ensuring dignity, safety, and quality of service. Responsibilities include responding to resident needs, following care plans, and maintaining a supportive environment.

Essential

Job Duties
  • Respond to resident needs promptly and kindly, maintaining each resident’s self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality (50%).
  • Read and follow care plans to ensure proper care (10%).
  • Assist residents with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, and toilet needs (20%).
  • Provide assistance at mealtime: selecting meals, serving, eating, clearing, delivering room trays as needed (3%).
  • Transport residents as necessary, escorting them to/from meals, activities, or other needs (3%).
  • Perform regular safety checks on residents (1%).
  • Encourage residents to participate in daily activities such as bed making, laundry, cleaning, setting tables, etc. (1%).
  • Invite, encourage, and lead residents in meaningful activities (3%).
  • Clean, complete laundry, and assist with all other community activities and job duties as required (1%).
  • Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators per MD orders (1%).
  • Chart and document appropriate information, including incident reports, and communicate any observed or suspected change of condition to a supervisor immediately (4%).
  • Respond promptly to all resident alerts, carrying walkie‑talkies and reacting to emergency or other resident requests (3%).
  • Ensure resident safety and comfort at all times, assisting in the performance of fire or other safety drills (1%).
Non‑Essential

Job Duties
  • Display a positive and professional image through actions and dress in accordance with MBK core values.
  • Encourage teamwork through open communication with coworkers and other departments.
  • Demonstrate effective time‑management skills to complete all resident assignments per shift.
  • Show tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families, and guests.
  • Adhere to all MBK policies related to meal breaks and rest periods.
  • Perform other duties consistent with the position as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Age 18 or over, or have proper work permit and authorization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred:
    Nurses Aid certification.
  • Current first aid certification.
  • Background clearance as required by regulations.
  • Recent health screening with negative TB test (within 6months or 7days of employment).
  • Prior caregiving experience preferred; on‑the‑job training available.
  • Must read and speak English.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds.
  • Must meet all state regulatory requirements.
Physical Demands
  • Mobile and able to execute duties including kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, bending.
  • Capable of lifting 40+ pounds and pushing 150 pounds unassisted.
