Title:
Limited Scope Student Radiology Technician – Heber Valley Clinic (Part‑time, 24 hours/week)
Location:
Heber City, Utah. Salary: $19.87–$28.31 per hour (dependent on experience).
Schedule:
Part‑time, 24 hours per week.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures within the defined scope of practice under direct supervision of a registered radiologic technologist.
- Maintain ARRT or modality‑specific competency and adhere to state licensure requirements.
- Verify patient identification, orders, and prepare patients for exams.
- Conduct exams per department protocol, review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
- Complete studies within acceptable time frames without compromising patient care or quality.
- Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address patient concerns.
- Implement infection control and sterile techniques as required.
- Operate imaging equipment and related systems, ensuring high‑quality imaging.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions.
- Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control, and reporting equipment issues.
- Knowledge of anatomy and image evaluation.
- Proficiency with equipment operation and contrast protocols.
- Emergency response and basic life support knowledge.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication skills.
- Electronic imaging system proficiency.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Currently enrolled in an approved radiologic technology program (JRCERT or AMA approved) with documented completion of required clinical and didactic training per state regulations.
- Limited Scope Radiology Tech license in Utah.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for health care providers.
- Previous patient‑care or health‑care experience.
- Regularly see and read information, labels, and assess patient needs.
- Operate monitors, identify equipment, and supply items.
- Communicate verbally, hear, and understand spoken information and alarms.
- Manual dexterity for manipulating complex equipment; frequent computer use and typing.
- Lift, transfer, and move patients, including heavy items.
- Transport ambulatory patients and supplies, push/pull equipment.
- Operate in crowded and busy rooms, standing for extended periods.
