We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Pharmacy to lead and oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations in Vernal, Utah. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant pharmaceutical services while driving clinical excellence, operational performance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the Pharmacy Department
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, workflows, staffing models, and service delivery
  • Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, state board, accreditation bodies)
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of pharmacy staff
  • Integrate evidence-based clinical practices and medication safety initiatives
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, inspections, and surveys
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, administration, and quality teams to support organizational goals
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Active Utah Pharmacist License or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Proven leadership or management experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, clinical standards, and regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Hospital or acute care pharmacy leadership experience
  • Experience managing departmental budgets and financial performance
