Position Summary

The Pharmacy Support Specialist supports the Pharmacy Director and Pharmacy Administration Manager by helping strengthen pharmacy operations, improve workflow consistency, and implement department programs across Lee’s Marketplace pharmacies. This role identifies and shares best practices, trains and supports pharmacy teams, monitors operational and compliance needs, and helps ensure pharmacies deliver accurate, professional, guest‑focused service. Through strong communication, follow‑through, and a positive team approach, the Pharmacy Support Specialist helps create an efficient pharmacy experience for both guests and team members.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support to the Pharmacy Director and Pharmacy Administration Manager by assisting with department priorities, follow‑up, and pharmacy workflow needs.
  • Train and support pharmacy teams on operational best practices, prescription‑processing standards, and consistent guest‑focused service expectations.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of pharmacy systems, procedures, workflows, and operational requirements used across Lee’s Marketplace pharmacies.
  • Support technician training programs by tracking progress, reinforcing standards, and helping ensure training requirements are completed by established deadlines.
  • Partner with Lead Technicians and pharmacy teams to identify, document, and improve best practices related to workflow, inventory control, scheduling, and daily operations.
  • Keep Lead Technicians informed and prepared on current programs, promotions, operational priorities, and department expectations.
  • Coach pharmacy teams on compliance requirements and help ensure pharmacies remain legally compliant, guest‑ready, safe, and professionally maintained.
  • Conduct periodic pharmacy reviews to assess department appearance, operational execution, contractual compliance, legal compliance, safety practices, and training completion.
  • Assist with onsite third‑party audits, legal record requests, clinical program compliance, new‑hire training status, and other compliance‑related follow‑up.
  • Reinforce pharmacy processing, safety, cleanliness, and error‑prevention standards during training, operational reviews, and day‑to‑day support.
  • Remain open to feedback from guests, leadership, and team members, and use that feedback to improve the experience for both guests and pharmacy teams.
  • Use sound problem‑solving skills to identify practical solutions that support the Lee’s Way by doing what is best for the team, guests, and company.
  • Work flexible hours and travel to multiple pharmacy or off‑site locations as needed to support department operations.
  • Support a professional, courteous pharmacy experience by responding to guest and team member needs with accuracy, urgency, and respect.
  • Help resolve guest or team member concerns promptly, escalating issues when needed to protect service quality and compliance.
  • Communicate clearly with Pharmacy leadership, Lead Technicians, and store teams to support consistent execution of department priorities.
  • Model the Lee’s Marketplace mission, core values, and professional standards through reliable follow‑through, coaching, and respectful teamwork.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess and maintain a current Pharmacy Technician license in good standing in the State of Utah.
