Position: Biomedical Technician-Field Service (UT w/company car)

Location

Salt Lake City, UT area. This field service position will travel to multiple client hospital sites in the Salt Lake area. A company car is provided for travel to sites.

Compensation

Applicants can expect a compensation range of $27–33 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical service including scheduled maintenance, inspections, and operation verification on complex biomedical equipment.
  • Repair, install, and calibrate complex biomedical equipment.
  • Inform supervisors of the status of repairs, inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns.
  • Work with, direct, and document activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians.
  • Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education.
  • Assist with service operations and special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the equipment database, including inventory and performance schedules.
  • Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan, regulatory compliance, and policies.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships, discuss equipment status with clinicians.
  • Represent Tri Medx services positively and integrate core values.
  • Perform periodic inspections of inventory and verification of security analysis for new equipment.
  • Perform incoming inspections to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Recommend regarding inventory.
  • Ensure consistent travel (up to 75% regional) and complete all duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Complex computer skills, including system administration, error code interpretation, hard‑drive maintenance, power supply replacement, and networking concepts.
  • Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills.
Education and Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a technical or electronics field, or equivalent military experience, or two years of equivalent experience.
  • Technical certification (CBET) preferred.
