This position is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard physical therapy practices. You will consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers and collaborate with care teams to deliver patient‑centered care.
Responsibilities- Provide skilled physical therapy services following professional standards (APTA) and facility policies.
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized care plans with measurable goals, and administer evidence‑based treatments.
- Document patient progress and complete billing accurately and promptly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers regarding needs and goals.
- Supervise assistants, aides, office staff, and students to ensure high‑quality care.
- Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives, including equipment safety and utilization reviews.
- Attend interdisciplinary meetings, patient care conferences, and staff meetings as required.
- Contribute to program development and marketing strategies to grow the physical therapy program.
- Orthopedic experience preferred.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Basic computer skills; proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and time‑management skills.
- Empathy, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
The role requires frequent lifting, bending, and manipulation of equipment and supplies. Candidates must be able to read, see, hear, and communicate verbally, operate monitors, and use hands and fingers with manual dexterity. Standing, walking, and ambulating patients for extended periods may also be required.
Location & HoursWorkplace:
Workmed – Orem, Orem, Utah.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday with options for five 8‑hour shifts or four 10‑hour shifts.
Annual hourly rate range: $43.09 – $66.47, based on experience.
