Legend Biotech is seeking a Sr. Manager, Medical Affairs, Medical Affairs Learning and Development as part of the Medical Affairs team based Remotely

Role Overview

The Sr. Manager, Medical Affairs Learning and Development, will report to the Associate Director of Strategic Medical Development and Education and play a key role in the execution of medical training and onboarding initiatives for medical affairs. This individual will assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating medical training processes and tools for Medical Affairs (MA) personnel, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and key milestones.

Collaborating closely with MA personnel, other internal stakeholders, and external partners, this role will contribute to training material development and knowledge assessment. The Sr. Manager will also support congress preparation, medical training initiatives, and launch readiness activities to ensure the medical team is equipped with the latest data and insights.

Key Responsibilities Medical Training & Development
  • Executes strategy for MA and serves as subject matter expert in cellular therapy across multiple disease spaces that encompass our pipeline.
  • Leads new‑hire onboarding and ongoing learning initiatives for Medical Affairs staff, including literature review, guideline updates, competitor products label updates, and new MA resources reviews with the AD Strategic Development and Learning.
  • Assists in the creation, evaluation, and implementation of medical training materials and activities for MA personnel and MSLs.
  • Supports development and execution of Legend Congress readiness – pre‑congress deep dive, post‑congress debriefs and MA KOL educational meetings.
  • Conducts assessments of field‑based MSL knowledge and competency on scientific materials.
  • Helps forecast and schedule training programs in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Contributes to the evaluation and implementation of new training technologies.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Launch Readiness
  • Collaborates closely with the Associate Director to align medical training efforts with broader Medical Affairs initiatives.
  • Collaborates with Clinical and Commercial teams on training and education initiatives as indicated.
  • Participates in launch readiness planning and congress preparation efforts.
  • Manages external agencies and stays within budget for training programs.
Decision Making
  • Has the authority to execute training and onboarding of medical affairs and will collaborate with the Associate Director of Strategic Development and Education.
Requirements
  • Advanced terminal degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) or other advanced medical degree (NP, PA, etc.) preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Medical Affairs or training within the biopharmaceutical industry preferred (oncology and/or cell therapy preferred).
  • Experience with medical affairs training programs.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects and budgets and working in cross‑functional teams in a matrix environment with a results‑focused attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
