TURN Community Services in Orem, UT is hiring a full‑time Residential Program Assistant to support activities in our group home.

Compensation and Benefits

Earn a competitive wage of $19/hour plus a sign‑on bonus of $600 paid over six months. Founded in 1973, TURN Community Services provides resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities. We operate across Utah, offering day programs, residential living, art center programs, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities.

Day in the Life

This position supports seven residents at Lakeview Residential Home in Orem. You will work with a Program Coordinator, 1 Program Assistant, and 8+ DSPs. Daily responsibilities include:

  • Assisting individuals with high medical, personal care, and behavioral needs, including transfers and lifting up to 50 pounds;
  • Executing activities that promote communication, social skills, safety, recreation, and independence;
  • Coordinating client appointments, menu planning, shopping, and finances;
  • Training staff and supporting the planning of community activities in partnership with the Coordinator.
Qualifications
  • At least 6 months of experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and numerical records;
  • Personal and reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance;
  • Willingness to drive program buses/vans and train new drivers;
  • Proficient computer skills and leadership experience.
Work Schedule

Sunday – Thursday 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm;
Friday and Saturday off. Additional flexibility may be required for coverage, emergencies, agency events, and shift changes.

Must be able to pass a background check upon hire. Any job offer will be based on the results of the background check.
