PS Quality Improvement Spec Job Summary Job Summary Join UPIQ, the Quality Improvement team within the Division of General Pediatrics! The Utah Pediatric Partnership to Improve Healthcare Quality (UPIQ) is a statewide coalition to advance quality and transform health care for children and their families. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic member to support clinical practice teams within the department and across the broader Pediatric clinical community in Utah.

This position offers dynamic opportunities to collaborate with all members of a healthcare team including physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrators while driving meaningful improvements in patient care. The selected applicant will support the department''s priorities for advancing clinical care through quality improvement methodology, including practice facilitation and measurement-based population health activities. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Essential Functions Organize QI projects by working with UPIQ leadership and ad hoc planning committees. Responsibilities include recruiting practices, researching best practices, curating resources, recruiting speakers and peer mentors, designing relevant curriculum including method of delivery (e.g., learning session, web-based, office-based), coordinating and maintaining data collection, developing appropriate evaluations, completing applications for CME/MOC credits toward licensure and certification for participants.

Support practice teams throughout projects with professional facilitation, which may include mentoring, resources, data collection and reporting, and diffusing lessons learned across participating practices. Provide timely project deliverables, including documents supporting QI methods used such as process mapping, key driver diagrams, PDSA cycles, sustainability plans. Conduct project wrap-up activities, including administering post-surveys, analyzing results, and evaluation. Contribute to academic publications (including abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
