An established healthcare technology organization is seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Technician to support the maintenance, repair, calibration, and inspection of a wide range of biomedical equipment. The RoleAs a Medical Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining a variety of medical devices used across healthcare environments. You'll help ensure equipment remains safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of medical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair biomedical devices.
- Conduct technical inspections of new, existing, and refurbished equipment.
- Complete equipment calibrations and functional testing.
- Carry out major repairs and equipment refurbishments.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to manage work orders.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Minimum 3 years' experience servicing biomedical or medical equipment.
- Experience working within hospitals, healthcare providers, OEMs, or independent service organizations.
- Strong preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration experience.
One of the following is preferred:
- Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a related technical discipline.
- Military or equivalent biomedical technical training.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience using CMMS or service management software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain any required background clearances.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the region (up to 15%).
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Experience supporting government, military, or large healthcare organizations would be considered an advantage.
- Competitive salary of $70,000 - $95,000
