PurposeReporting to the Associate Director for Operations, the Human Resources Coordinator will support daily functions and processes of human resources transactions for approximately 150 exempt and non-exempt employees, graduate and undergraduate research assistants, federal work study students, hourly employees, fellows, and volunteers.
Responsibilities- Serve as first point of contact for onboarding and offboarding cycles of all staff, students, volunteers, fellows, and other position types as assigned. Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation and communication to begin and end HRC appointments.
- Accurately maintain human resource data including Workday organizational charts and personnel pipeline databases to prepare weekly reports for the Associate Director for Operations and Head of Finance & Administration.
- Oversee the timesheet process for Ransom Center staff to ensure compliance with university policy and send reminders as needed. Assist staff and supervisors with understanding proper timekeeping practices. Manage access to electronic timesheets and work with staff and supervisors to make adjustments to leave balances as needed. Liaise with UT Human Resources office regarding leave management, timekeeping, and Family Medical Leave.
- Answer common staff questions related to HRC and UT policy and procedure by liaising with Human Resource Services, Payroll Services, International Student and Scholar Services, Employee Assistance Program, and other university units.
- Appropriately process sensitive personnel paperwork, ensuring confidentiality. Compile, maintain, retain, and dispose of confidential records as prescribed by state and federal law.
- Assist on special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field with coursework in business, accounting, human resource management, or professional writing.
- Two years of experience in human resources.
- Experience with Workday and other university systems.
- Demonstrated experience in confidential employee relations and records.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with organizational goals.
- Experience with Workday and FRMS.
- Track record of improving employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture initiatives.
- Experience managing change initiatives and supporting organizational growth.
$54,000, non‑negotiable.
Working Conditions- Standard office conditions including repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
- Moving and lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Walking or traversing on campus for up to 20 minutes.
